The Surprising Secret to the Best Roast I’ve Ever Made

Last night, Matt and I were sampling The Roasted Purpose protein coffee at Debbie’s nutrition class when one of the participants told us something completely unexpected.

“I love your coffee—I use it on my roast!”

Wait…what? Coffee on a roast? She went on to explain how her family never liked her roast before, but now, thanks to our coffee, they request her “Roasted Purpose Roast” all the time.

Naturally, I had to try it for myself.

Friends, let me tell you—it’s a game-changer. The rich, bold flavor of our Mocha Latte took the roast to another level, creating the most flavorful and tender roast I’ve ever made. And the best part? It’s incredibly simple.

Here’s how you can make it too:

The Roasted Purpose Roast Recipe

Ingredients:

3-4 lb roast

1 packet of The Roasted Purpose Mocha Latte

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F.

2. Sear and season with coffee.

In a hot skillet, sear the roast on all sides until golden brown. Once seared, pour a packet of The Roasted Purpose Mocha Latte over the roast, coating it evenly.

3. Bake low and slow.

Place the roast in a baking dish, cover it tightly, and bake for 1 hour per pound of meat.

4. Check for tenderness.

Remove the roast from the oven and use two forks to shred it into large chunks. If it doesn’t pull apart easily, return it to the oven for an additional 30 minutes.

5. Raise the heat for crispy edges.

Increase the oven temperature to 425°F. Toss the shredded pieces in the rendered fat and return to the oven, uncovered, for 25 minutes to achieve crispy, caramelized edges.

6. Add salt to taste and enjoy!

Once the roast is finished, season it with salt to taste before serving. Plate it up and watch as your family devours every bite.

The subtle coffee and chocolate flavors in our Mocha Latte packet add a depth and richness that elevate the roast to new heights. It’s the perfect combination of savory and bold, creating a roast that’s anything but ordinary.

A big thank you to Michelle for inspiring this recipe. I’ll never make roast the same way again, and neither will you!

Have you ever used coffee in your recipes? If not, now’s the time to try. If you give this a go, let me know how it turns out. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Cheers,

Joanna
